“Boy, Dog and the St. John River”1958
This reproduction print of ALEX COLVILLE’s painting -“Boy, Dog and the St. John River”1958 found at auction. The original frame, backing and glass were replaced with a new black frame, acid free backing and shiny new glass. Speaking of shining (subtle segway), I believe this is one of the four Colville paintings that appeared in the background scenes of the movie, “The Shining”. I managed to uncover my eyes long enough to say, “Hey, I know that artist! I met that artist!” None of my teenage friends were impressed.
