Leaf Me Alone..Sigh! It is officially Fall
Read MoreIt is hard to believe that autumn is here!! In a couple of weeks it will be Thanksgiving (aka: the dress rehearsal for Christmas dinner). Then we all will be facing the prospect of eight hours of cooking that will be devoured in minutes, leading to the aftermath of dishes. It makes me wonder if I will be keeping my feet up and the pizza place on speed dial.
FALL AND WINTER NEVER LOOKED SO GOOD!!!
Most of our previous Autumn days have been full of warmth and sunshine, but as always Mother Nature is in cahoots with Old Man Winter and it will be chilly soon enough. And as the days pass and my time outside gets shorter, I have begun knitting seriously.
This is the new creation- "The Totally Twisted Hat". It is 100% wool but not irritatingly itchy. It fits an average noggin and is super cozy. This scarf is from last year's design,Culture Days at A Matter of Tastes is
September 28 & 29th from 10-4 both days.
Just a reminder that it is CULTURE VULTURE time. This is the third year for the nationwide event of celebrating Canadian culture which includes the visual arts, music, film, photography and dance. If is it culture, it is on the list. Antigonish is hosting several events at Lyghtesome Gallery and at People's Place with Nancy Turniawan's unveiling of the Mosaic Bench and a community forum & panel discussion. Culture Days also run the same weekend as 20th Anniversary of the Studio Rally Tour. So, if you are out on the Rally Tour, swing by and have look at some of the things that I have in the studio. Also, I will be running a promotion on framing: 10% off all FULL custom framing jobs only on the 28th & 29th of September.
