HELLO EVERYONE!
Ahhh...breathe in the autumn air. Everyone knows that I love the autumn season the best. Though the beach is my favourite place to be, I am not a person for the summer heat. (I can already hear the booing and hissing from all of you!) There is nothing like the autumn with crisp, cool air and the beautiful fall colours and the nightly honking of geese as they fly south.

St. F.X. Art Gallery Art Auction for Homecoming Weekend Upcoming this week there is an exhibition and silent auction of artworks inspired by the St. F.X. Campus and the Town of Antigonish. The Vicki Maclean painting above is one of the paintings in the art auction.

PAINTING
On Thanksgiving weekend, I will be closed Saturday, October 10th. After nearly ten years of postponing the inevitable, I plan on filling in the holes and repainting the walls. Friday, October 9th, I will be taking down all the artworks in the gallery but the framing part of the gallery will still be open for business.
MINI MINIATURE EXHIBITION TO CELEBRATE 15 YEARS IN BUSINESS
To celebrate 15 years in business (and 9 years as a custom framer), in November, will be be having a small show of new miniatures oil paintings by Victoria. These reasonable priced oils (mostly under$200) would be the perfect for an art lover on a gift giving list or a gift to yourself. The subject matter will vary from florals to landscapes and seascapes.
NEW LINE OF MITTENS- "FLEECED AND FELTED"
Though we don't want to think about it, but the mitten season is coming up soon. I am in the middle of sewing up some very beautiful and originally designed felted wool mittens. I am also doing some mittens in fleeced Nova Scotian and Cape Breton tartan. They will be available in November. Perfect to keep your fingers warm or as gifts at Christmas.
GOT WOOL?
{Also, I am still on the search for any old wool blankets, sweaters, vests, pants {lambs wool, merino, cashmere} that you have shrunken accidently, have holes or just don't want any more. If you don't want them, I would love to have them for my mitten project.}
